Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy the Remodel Decision Kit from Homeowner Playbooks. Buying means you accept them. They are short on purpose.

1. What you are buying

A set of downloadable files: 11 documents totalling about 214 pages, with 28 drawings and 647 fields you can type into. The order bump and the upsell, if you take them, add further files. Nothing is shipped. There is no physical product, no subscription, no recurring charge, and no account to maintain.

2. What it is not

This is planning material built from published planning guidelines and manufacturer documentation. It is not professional advice, it is not a design service, it is not a contract, and it is not a statement of what your local building code requires. Where a number appears that many United States jurisdictions require, we say so and we tell you to verify it locally, because the authority having jurisdiction where you live is the only source that decides. Nothing here tells you how to perform electrical, gas, plumbing or structural work. Those are jobs for a licensed professional, and the files say so wherever they come up.

You remain responsible for the decisions you make about your own home, for hiring the people who do the work, and for obtaining any permits and inspections. We accept no liability for the outcome of a project. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected to these files is limited to what you paid for them.

3. Your license

You get a personal, non transferable license to use the files for your own home and your own projects, for as long as you like, including printing as many copies as you need for that purpose. A contractor, designer or architect may use them inside their own practice with their own clients.

You may not resell them, republish them, upload them to a file sharing site or a course platform, include them in a product of your own, or train a model on them. The copyright stays with us.

4. Delivery

The download links appear on screen as soon as the payment clears, and we email them too. The links stay valid for 72 hours, which is deliberate: download the files and keep them. If a link expires or an email never arrives, write to info@norphis.it and we will send you a new one. There is no time limit on asking.

5. Price and tax

Prices are set in US dollars. If you are outside the United States we show the price in your local currency, converted at a recent market rate and rounded up to a clean figure, so what you see is what your card is charged. The conversion is a convenience, not a quote: your bank may apply its own rate or a foreign transaction fee, and that is between you and your bank.

No value added tax, sales tax or equivalent is added to the price shown. The amount on the page is the amount you pay.

6. Refunds

All sales are final. Every file is delivered the moment you pay. Because the download is complete before you leave the payment page, all sales are final. The one exception is a file that is proven to be defective, for which we refund within 30 days of purchase against the evidence listed on the refunds page. That page forms part of these terms, and it also sets out what is not refunded and what we repair instead. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under the law of the country you live in that cannot be set aside by agreement.

7. Changes to the files

We correct errors and we update figures when a source changes. Corrections are free and we will tell you where to get them. We do not promise a new edition on any schedule, and we do not promise that a future edition will be free.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which Homeowner Playbooks is established, and any dispute belongs to the courts there. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, including your right to bring proceedings there.
