Refund policy

These are the refund conditions that apply to the digital files sold on this site. They are part of our terms.

All sales are final. Every file is delivered the moment you pay. The whole kit is on your device before you leave the payment page. There is nothing to return, so the sale is final, and the one exception is set out below.

The one refund we give

We refund within 30 days of purchase, and only for a file that is proven to be defective: a file that will not open, a file that is not the one described, a file with pages or form fields missing, or a spreadsheet whose formulas do not calculate. A request has to arrive from the email address you bought with and carry:

• The name of the file and the page or tab where the problem is.
• A screenshot that shows the problem on your screen.
• The name and version of the reader or spreadsheet program you opened it in, and, if the problem only appears while you use the file, a short screen recording of it happening.

In almost every case we can repair it faster than a refund can clear, and we will offer that first. If we cannot, we refund to the card you paid with. Your bank takes between three and ten working days to show it.

What is not refunded

• Changing your mind, not using the kit, or deciding you no longer want it.
• Deciding after reading it that it is not what you wanted. Every file, its format, its page count and its limits are published on the what is inside page before you pay, and the questions page includes the questions we answer with a no.
• Your device, your reader or your spreadsheet program not doing what the file needs. The files are ordinary PDF, Excel and Word documents, and the requirements are stated before purchase.
• Disagreeing with a recommendation, or with a figure. Figures are a different matter and a more welcome one: see the next section.
• Anything that follows from editing, converting or otherwise altering the files.
• An outcome on your project. The kit organizes decisions; it does not carry out the work, price it or guarantee what anyone else does.

A request for a refund on any ground other than a documented defect will be refused.

A figure that looks wrong is not a defect, it is a correction

It is the most welcome email we get, and there is no time limit on it. Tell us the file and the page. Every figure in the kit traces to a published document. If we got it wrong we correct it, we tell everyone who bought, and the corrected file costs you nothing.

Download links

Links last 72 hours on purpose. That is not a limit on what you bought: write to us and we send a fresh one, with no time limit and no charge, for as long as the kit exists.

Your rights under local law

This policy is what we undertake to do. It does not limit any right you have under the law of the country you live in that cannot be set aside by agreement. Where such a right applies to your purchase, it applies whatever this page says.

Chargebacks

Please write to us first. A chargeback costs us a fee and takes months, and the email takes a minute. If your file is defective you get the same money faster by asking.
